Hopping Hare wins at the Design Effectiveness Awards 2013

Over 450 design industry leaders gathered at The Brewery in London last Thursday for the annual Design Effectiveness Awards, hosted by the DBA (Design Business Association). 

The ceremony, hosted by BBC business correspondent Simon Jack, gave the opportunity to celebrate the significant impact design can have on business success.  This year a record number of winners were recognised in the awards across a range of disciplines from packaging to product design.

Beer Co design agency, Brand Opus, came away with 3 awards including a Bronze for the Hopping Hare re-design in 2011 – the first of the Badger range to be launched in new design.  Since it’s re-launch, Hare gained new listings in Tesco and Sainsbury which took it to the 16th fastest selling single bottled ale in UK Grocery Multiples within year 1 alone.

 N.b. The DBA Design Effectiveness Awards are one of the only industry awards entered jointly by the client and design agency, the submissions must demonstrate design’s tangible effect on a client’s business
