Looking back to 2015 - a busy year for Badger!

The Badger took to the road a plenty this year, spreading the word of our fine ales up and down the country!
We kicked off with a little outing for the Badger truck to Bath’s annual ‘Boules festival’ held in Queens Square.  Over the festival weekend, we handed out tasters of Badger beers to visitors and boule-competitors!  It was a glorious weekend and of course, we had an absolute ‘boule’ with new friends from near and far!

Next up was a trip a little further afield; London for the City Beer Festival, to serve refreshing pints of Badger beer to thirsty city folk. The sun shone as the beer flowed and the bands played – we’d say it was the perfect escape from the city.
As soon as we returned to Dorset it wasn’t long before we were polishing our much loved Badger truck and taking it back on the road to Carfest North & South; hosted by Radio 2 DJ (and new Top Gear host!) Chris Evans!  The festivals are a fantastic family celebration of great food, drink, music and not forgetting, cars!  In total we gave out a whopping 26,000 tasters of beer to festival-goers…

With all the time out on the road, you’d be forgiven for asking whether we actually had any time to brew!  Thankfully, our brewery team held the fort, bringing back old favourites as seasonal cask beers;  Hopping Hare, Fursty Ferret and Firkin Fox.  As well as first time appearances on cask for new pale ale, Leaping Legend and a collaboration with Slovenian hop farmers to create our newest cask beer, ‘Glorious Game,’ in time for the Rugby World Cup.  If that wasn’t enough, we welcomed a new beer to the ‘Sett’; Daring Diver, a moreish 4.7% abv brew, inspired by the mischievous mallards on the River Stour.

October saw the return of our annual Hall & Woodhouse beer festival at our brewery in Blandford.  It was our busiest and best yet with bands, games, great food and the entire range of Badger beers available on cask to sample!  The best bit for us though?  We raised £7,372 for charity.  If you missed out, don’t worry!  We’ll be doing it all again on 18th June 2016.
And so the year began to draw to a close.  The team in the brewery and warehouse worked tirelessly over the festive season to ensure our drays where filled all of your favourite Badger beers to go out to our pubs and supermarkets across the country – to make sure you had your favourite brew on Christmas Day!

2015 really was such a fun year for Badger.  Thanks to all of you that came to say hello, had a taster of a beer and chat to the team!  We loved meeting you all and can’t wait to go on more beer adventures with you in 2016!

A win at the Great Taste Awards!

We are proud to say that this month our Blandford Flyer and The Mysterious  Mer-Chicken have...
