The date July 2012 The destination Hampton Court Palace We are honoured to have been chosen to venture down this long and invariably winding road in association with the splendid Dorset brewers of the truly historic Badger Beer.
Our aim is to create a taste of the beautiful Dorset countryside a flavour of the company's estimable 300 year heritage and most importantly create a lovely backdrop to taste a few drops of real ale in.
Having been fortuitous enough to have been awarded with four RHS Gold medals previously, one may begin to think it is easy to replicate this success.
If only every failed concept vagary of weather and indifference of nature will have to be absorbed on the journey Blood sweat and tears are of course inevitable...but without them it just would not be half as much fun.
Anyone familiar with our work will know not to expect a pastiche of the Dorset countryside. Our Twitter account lists us as "Dreamers & double-act...attempting to drag a few works of beauty into this wonderful world" so we will be aiming to create a unique work of purity full of quirky and innovative ideas that should raise a smile, but most importantly have you yearning for a long afternoon in a Dorset beer garden .
So what will the garden be like? There will be no Jurassic Coast theme no thatched cottage or Thomas Hardy maybe only a little smattering of twee (it is the Jubilee year after all) Best to approach the garden as ‘contemporary countryside with a sculptural twist’ if you do have to label it all.
You can expect a beautiful selection of native trees rich meadow style plantings and maybe a beer bottle or barrel on the way The devil is of course in the detail so we hope you enjoy watching the garden come together and share the journey with us along the way.
So settle back, pop the cap off a bottle of a Badger Golden Champion dust the BBQ down and dream of those long hazy days we are all looking forward to sharing in July.
