Business Partners Gemma and Monty at The Crown Inn, Marnhull have introduced a fabulous, purpose-built coffee station. Gemma has worked exceptionally hard on the design and has been very creative with the overall presentation.
“We decided to change the basic coffee station as we wanted to offer quality coffee rather than just instant coffee which is all the old station allowed us to do. We have seen it work at The Old Farmhouse, Nailsea so we were hopeful it would work here too.”
By adding theatre and quality to their coffee offer they have enticed more guests and have seen a huge increase in coffee sales.
We wish Gemma and Monty continued success.
Business Partners Hannah and Theresa at The White Hart, Sherborne have created a fantastic new games room.
The games room was opened at the end of January, timed to coincide with the installation of the fruit machine, juke box and pool table. A darts board has since been added and the introduction of colourful stools and records on the wall bring the room to life.
“The area was used as a dining section, however we have found that our kitchen size limits the amount of covers we are able to provide for. Historically when this area and our two restaurant areas were full there was a minimum 1 hour wait on food. With this in mind, we decided that a games room would allow us to entertain all different types of people because of the layout of the pub. At first, as with most things, our regulars made a few grumbles. However, within a week they were all up playing pool! We have 3 pool teams in place now and are looking at getting a darts team.”
We wish Hannah and Theresa all the best for this new venture.
