Since reopening and extensively refurbishing The Woodman on Battersea High Street earlier this year, award-winning chef/proprietor James Rogers and his partner Annie Broom have been attracting rave reviews.

The couple’s novel approach has been to bring a taste of the country to London, having relocated from Grundisburgh, the sleepy Suffolk village where James and his brother Charles won countless national awards with their highly acclaimed gastropub, The Dog.

To celebrate James’ and Annie’s success, Mark Woodhouse, a seventh generation family member of Dorset based independent brewer and pub company, Hall & Woodhouse, which owns The Woodman, will be hosting a special evening of beer and food matching, on Tuesday July 10th.

James Rogers has devised an innovative seven course menu to showcase his rustic culinary roots and complement the award-winning Hall & Woodhouse Badger Ales, with a different brew matched to each course.

Looking ahead, Mark Woodhouse, Hall & Woodhouse Chairman comments: “I am delighted to join James and Annie at The Woodman to showcase our Badger Ales. Combined with the fantastic food that James creates, The Woodman’s customers are in for a real treat.”

Booking is essential at what is set to be a hugely enjoyable and educative night for lovers of great food and beer. For further details contact The Woodman on 020 7228 2968 or visit www.woodman-battersea.co.uk
