We like to think of ourselves as a typically English company, and we’ve all got our own ideas as to what constitutes ‘Englishness’. It might be cricket and cucumber sandwiches on the village green. It might be garden gnomes, knotted handkerchiefs and football. It might be The Notting Hill Carnival and chicken curry. The beauty of it is, you can never define it exactly, and it’s the same with Hall & Woodhouse. Just like England, we’re evolving and changing all the time, absorbing new, positive influences and ideas.
Despite our open minded approach, we still retain a set of core values and a determination to ‘make people’s day’ that has remained unchanged for over 200 years. To ‘make people’s day’. It’s our mission. Our ethos. The one consistent factor in all Hall & Woodhouse managed pubs across the South of England. Without our guests, we wouldn’t exist. It’s that simple.
