Just as it’s impossible to define Englishness, so it’s impossible to define a typical Hall & Woodhouse managed pub. The sheer variety is mind-boggling. But whilst all our pubs are individual, they all share a commitment to providing a comfortable and relaxed environment that’s an integral and welcome part of the local community. Over the last decade, we’ve been making significant investments in our managed pub estate, to the point where we can justifiably claim to have some of the finest pubs in the South of England. Our current estate stands at over 250 licensed houses, split between managed and tenanted. Our pubs stretch from as far west as Exeter, up to the Bristol Channel at Clevedon, into the heart of London and across to the South Downs in Kent, whilst in-between lies the lush countryside of old Wessex, embracing Dorset and South Wiltshire. You might find our pubs by a main commuter route. Or hidden miles down a wild country lane. They might be right by the sea, in a hamlet, village, town or in the capital itself. Wherever they are, they all boast superbly maintained, attractive exteriors - an invitation to the customer to step inside, where the quality and attention to detail continues. Whether it’s wooden beams, local stone or bricks, our pubs reflect the personality and appearance of their location. And the quality of the furnishings and decoration is always paramount. So whether our customers come for a gourmet meal, a bar snack, or a quick half, whether it’s the vicar, the skittles team, or a coach party from Holland - everyone is assured an environment that’s unique, engaging and memorable. If you share our commitment to “making people’s day”, so that they return to us time and again, then we’d like to hear from you. |
