2011 Dorset Community Heroes Announced
The 2011 Hall & Woodhouse Dorset Community Heroes were announced at the Community Chest awards presentation evening held at the Brewery Visitor Centre on 23rd September. The aim of this award is to reward those people in Dorset who are dedicated to their particular organisation and work tirelessly for it for the benefit of others without any personal recognition.
From the host of nominations submitted for the judges' consideration, the four recipients whose organisations shared £2,000 were:
- Sara Jacson, Toby's Shaftesbury Young People's Project £1,500
- Nigel Dawe, Marnhull Cricket Club £500
- Roxanne Gale, Little Giants £500
