Hall and Woodhouse is something of a rarity these days. A family company that’s still family owned just like it has been for over 235 years. It’s also one of the few remaining regional family brewers, brewing our award-winning Dorset ales and offering warm hospitality at our many public houses.
We own 220 public houses across the South of England, of which over 50 are Managed. From the rolling Dorset countryside to coastal locations and idyllic West Sussex villages, we have fantastic pubs in some of the best locations in the country with amazing people who make them great.

Within our Managed House estate, food and hospitality is very important to us.
We use regional food partners, typically from family businesses like Hall & Woodhouse, who provide quality ingredients that our team of talented chefs (not microwave technicians!) use to create fresh, unpretentious, seasonal dishes. We then employ nice people who think like us and enjoy the same things that we do; food & drink, and, perhaps more importantly take real pleasure in looking after people and making them happy.
We are looking for experienced General Managers who have a proven track record of creating and leading successful teams in managing process driven, food led businesses that take sales in excess of £750,000 per annum.
