We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Water Purification Plant and Site Operator.  This position is based in the Brewery, reporting to the Site Manager.  The purpose of the role is:

 

  • Operation of Water Purification Plant and Recycling Centre: collection of waste and recyclable materials, while maintaining a safe, clean and tidy site. Supporting and driving continuous improvements within the wider brewery team - Ensuring all products are recycled and processed to the specified level, while maintaining standards, including EA, BRC, HACCP, and PUWER.

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Working closely with the Site Manager and Support team to achieve Quality, Cost, Speed, and Team targets for the WPP
  • Monitor and report on Water Purification Plant performance
  • Ensuring that appropriate resources are applied to plant breakdowns to achieve swift resolution and minimise downtime & drive production performance
  • Lead self and provide direction to wider team
  • Encourage safety best practises to ensure a safe place to work
  • Ensure all legislative standards are met and adhered to

 

The successful applicant will have demonstrable operator skills including FLT and Basic food hygiene.  You will have strong time management skills and be able to work under pressure on multiple tasks, whilst maintaining attention to detail.  You will be customer focused, with the ability to instill trust into the relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  You will be IT literate, confident, a good communicator, proactive and have a strong work ethic. Willingness to learn new skills including a waste management qualification.
