01 March 2009 - Badger Beers are ready for summer
Hot on the promise of a good summer, Hall & Woodhouse is launching ”Long Days”, Badger’s seasonal summer beer, and “Golden Champion”, renowned for being the “perfect” BBQ beer, in its special summer BBQ eight pack.
Long Days (4.5% ABV) is a golden summer ale with a subtle hint of raspberries to complement the underlying malt and hop aromas. To celebrate the summer solstice in days past, ale was brewed with raspberry leaves as an alleged aid to fertility - although Hall & Woodhouse cannot promise its effectiveness in this regard, it can promise a delicious sweet and fruity beer with a zingy taste!
Golden Champion (5% ABV) has a light, refreshing character distinguished by its subtle use of elderflowers which create a soft, floral thirst-quenching fruitiness. Champion is particularly delicious when served chilled, and has won many national awards.

Long Days and Golden Champion’s BBQ Pack are available in 500ml bottles in selected branches of Sainsbury’s and Tesco and online at www.badgerdirect.com. Long Days will be available from June through to September.
Hall & Woodhouse uses Dorset Spring water that has been naturally filtered for up to a century through the Jurassic chalk downs and drawn up 120 feet from the brewery’s own wells in all its Badger beers. Hall & Woodhouse also sources its yeast from within Dorset and the current Badger brewery yeast was last changed in 1934; it has been ‘pitched’ from brew to brew for well over 70 years.
