Why we love it here

Its our team members that make Hall & Woodhouse a great place to work and we’re proud to say that many have stayed with us for some time. Here’s what a few of our people have to say about being part of the family.

  • Natasha Bartlett

What H&W value do you feel you identify with the most?

Teamwork - Hall and Woodhouse are excellent at working together and communicating. It’s great to be part of a team who are great at supporting you in whatever you are doing.

What's your favourite Badger Ale and why?

Applewood - I love a cider, especially a chilled one on a warm Spring day or a hot summer day so discovering Applewood was a momentous day. OR Holey Moley - I’m usually not an Ale drinker, but this one has something rather nice about it!

Why do you like it here?

As well as the opportunities I have within my actual role which are great for my development and make sure that every day I am motivated and excited about doing my job, we also have opportunities to get involved in things outside of the normal day to day activities, which are fun and different, i.e. helping out at Hampton Court Flower Show and the first ever Beer Fest. I love having the opportunity to take part in these things.

    What’s your favourite pub?

That’s a tricky one as we have so many lovely ones and I’ve only visited a handful but my favourite at the moment is the Old Granary in Wareham. I love the setting of this house and the inside is amazing. I took my family there this year for my mums 50th birthday and they all loved it too. The team were amazing and made everything perfect for my mum’s special day.

I’m more of a wines and spirits girl but I do enjoy the occasional Hopping Hare on a sunny day.

Why do you like it here?

The Family feeling and being part of a team.

    What’s your favourite pub?

    St Peters in Lytchett Matravers.

What H&W value do you feel you identify with the most?

An employer who puts its Team members first and foremost.

What's your favourite Badger Ale and why?

    Tea-total; sorry!

Why do you like it here?

H&W is a company which recognises that its Team members are its greatest assets and that its not all about the bottom line results unlike a PLC company (and that coming from an accountant…).

  • Steve White

    Teamwork.

What's your favourite Badger Ale and why?

First Gold or Fursty Ferret, just like the taste.

Integrity – be consistent with honesty and just do the right thing.

What's your favourite Badger Ale and why?

My favourite ale would have to be Tanglefoot because it has always been a strong contender and forever popular.

Why do you like it here?

I like it here because of the extra mile we go to create a better social side of the company i.e. gym, beer festival, charity events, social events.

    What’s your favourite pub?

My favourite house is the Grasshopper because of the friendly team and the tranquil atmosphere. Perfect for a meal or a drink with friends!
