Nothing warms the cockles quite like a Porter

You’re used to hear us talking about a nice long glass of refreshing Hopping Hare in the summer time – a pint of light golden ale and a packet of cheese and onion crisps in a sunny beer garden is as close to perfect as you can get –

but we think that a great winter beer is a very fine thing too. In fact, when it’s cold outside nothing warms the cockles quite like a porter (it must be something to do with all those robust roasted, malted flavours getting to those chilly parts that other beers cannot reach). So Badger has pushed the boundaries for seasonal beer and for the very first time brewed a dark 4% porter especially for winter. Twilight Tawny debuted at our first Badger Beer Festival in October and went down a storm, so the good news is that it will be available by the cask throughout December. Well, ‘tis the season to be merry!
