Beautiful Crown Hotel
Steeped in history (it was one of 21 stops for fresh horses on the Trafalgar Way - the route that carried news of the Battle of Trafalgar from Falmouth to London), the Crown is a wonderful example of a charming Dorset coaching inn. It boasts 27 lovely bedrooms, beautiful terraces and gardens, as well as a historic dining room, relaxed pantry and a sumptuous oak-paneled common room - not to mention the best bar in Dorset! The Crown caters for all occasions, particularly the separate Sealy Suite (with its own walled garden), which offers a private function room, ideal for conferences, weddings and events. We are looking for a time served professional to lead and develop the Weddings & Events business at our fabulous flagship venue........

Apply if you are:
  • Experienced in wedding & event management, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team
  • A competent administrator adept with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Familiar with booking and invoicing systems including Liveres and Welcome
  • Well presented and able to follow standard procedures to manage and execute events effectively
  • Able to commit to support the GM in developing the events business
  • Driven to maintain impeccable guest service
  • Guest focused, highly motivated and enthusiastic about hospitality
  • A great team player who cares about what you do, and always strives to be the best version of yourself
Previous management experience and knowledge of events and hospitality operations with a busy F&B profile is essential. Access to independent transport would be helpful too. If have the skills, drive and commitment to thrive in this busy, exciting and rewarding role apply now.
Knowledge, skills and attributes required:
  • Experience as lead in running events and weddings
  • Hospitality management and team leadership
  • Adaptable and organized able to prioritize tasks with attention to detail
  • Willing to support other houses with event planning and delivery
  • Able to deputize for the GM and lead shifts when required
