Badger Golden Glory is the secret ingredient in this morish pud! Serves 4-6
Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C / Gas Mark 4
To make puddings - Boil dates in Badger golden Glory Beer until broken up and soft. Add in the bicarbonate of soda to date mixture. Cream the butter and sugar together in a seperate bowl, until pale and fluffy. Add the eggs to the bowl and mix well. Add dates, flour and vanilla essence to the bowl and mix well. Pour into tin and cook in the oven until just firm to touch, approximately 30-40 minutes.
To make sauce - Place the ingredients in a pan over a low heat and stir until all ingredients are blended. Bring to the boil.
To serve, place slices of pudding on individual plates and pour over sauce - and single cream if desired - over the top.

For puddings -
170g dates
300ml of Badger Golden Glory
1 tspn bicarbonate of soda
60g unsalted butter
170g caster sugar
2 eggs, beaten
170g self raising flour, sieved
1 tspn vanilla essence
To make sauce -
300ml double cream
60g Demerera sugar
1 tspn bicarbonate of soda
2 tspns black treacle
