Situated on the bustling water-front of Poole Quay in Dorset, the Lord Nelson is a vibrant harbourside pub, providing refreshments to visitors and locals alike. Built in 1764, the pub was formerly known as the Blue Boar; however it was renamed in 1810 in honour of Lord Nelson who had been killed in battle some five years earlier.
Today, the Lord Nelson is well known as a popular venue for entertainment including live music, beer festivals and BBQs. In summer, guests can enjoy the views and sea air in the large quayside seating area. And in the winter months, the pub’s traditional look and feel makes for a warm, cosy and welcoming atmosphere. A great spot all year round.
