2025 WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The 2025 Hall & Woodhouse Community Chest recognised 39 outstanding charities, volunteer groups and organisations at two awards evenings held in January 2026.
Each received a share of £60,000 at the events which showcased the remarkable dedication of these groups working tirelessly to support their local communities.

Recipients in the west included the Straw Patch Project, a mental health project based on a smallholding near the North Devon coast, which received £2,800 to support weekly sessions for adults with learning disabilities.

Countrymen UK, based near Sherborne, Dorset was awarded £2,500. The organisation provides a safe farm and countryside environment to support men of all ages who find themselves isolated due to deteriorating physical or mental health or changing social circumstances.

In the east, Furnihelp Mid Sussex received £3,000 to provide essential household items to newly housed, often formerly homeless, individuals and families.
